The statutes of International Zen-Temple e.V., updated 2005 by decision of the general assembly, define in detail the purposes and activities of the Temple, as well as its intern structure. The statutes provide that the abbot of the temple is the supreme spiritual authority, whilst worldly affairs are also deliberated in the executive board and in the general assembly. Both of them convene regularly, the general assembly usually once in a year.
Whenever a meeting of the general assembly takes place, the results of the deliberations are laid down in a record by the secretary of the International Zen-Temple e.V.
